Polycystic Ovarian Disease(PCOD)
It's generally a formation of multiple cysts in the ovaries leading to the hormonal imbalances which if not treated can lead to heart diseases.
Symptoms: Acne, excessive hair growth on the body, irregular periods, thinning of scalp hair, weight gain, depression.
Prevention: Early detection is the best and can be carried out by pelvic ultrasound, sugar level test, and blood level.
Once detected, you should work on weight loss as this controls the hormonal balance, eating right also helps.
Treatment: walking is the best way to reduce weight as it can take down the hormonal level. Healthy food, oral medications, consulting doctors and getting regular check ups done so as to be free from depression.
